Tommy Sloan is a Director with PricewaterhouseCoopers' State and Local Tax practice based in Houston, Texas. He specializes in US indirect taxes including sales and use and motor fuel taxes. He has over ten years of experience in state and local tax providing a broad array of advisory services, including consulting for mergers and acquisitions, research memoranda, tax refund reviews, audit mitigation, managed audits, voluntary disclosures, credits and incentives, taxability matrices, ruling requests, process and risk reviews, and tax engine implementations.
Tommy recently completed an 18-month rotation with KPMG’s Washington National Tax Practice. Based in Washington, DC, he drafted indirect tax publications, tracked legislative developments, and developed curricula for and instructed at firm trainings. In 2009, Tommy completed a 3-month rotation to KPMG’s outsourcing center in Kochi, Kerala, India.
Tommy received his B.B.A. from Texas A&M University in 2006 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
